Villanova pulls away from Notre Dame, 90-72
The No. 3 Villanova Wildcats overcame a sloppy first-half performance for a 90-72 victory over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
The Wildcats were sleepwalking in the first half and led by just one point heading into the locker room.
They showed why they are a top five team in the second half, overwhelming Notre Dame with their constant attacking on the offensive end.
Notre Dame can put some points on the board, but not nearly as quick as the Wildcats, who are relentless with their trio of guards.
Scottie Reynolds and Corey Fisher led Villanova with 17 points while Antonio Pena added 14 points.
