The Villanova Wildcats will take on the Maryland Terrapins in this year’s BB&T Classic in Washington, D.C.
The event, a former tournament that now just features two games, will be played at the Verizon Center on Sunday, December 6.
The top billing always goes to the Terps, but the past few years have seen them take on very medicore teams.
That will not be the case this year, as Maryland-Villanova should prove to be one of the most exciting games across the country in December.
Both teams like to run and get in your face with their guard oriented teams, so it should be an exciting game.

On Friday, Villanova announced that senior guard Reggie Redding will be ineligible to play in games during the fall semester due to university-sanctioned discipline.
Earlier this month, police arrested Redding after discovering a “small amount” of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his car.
Villanova said Redding lost his status as a “student in good standing” for the fall 2009 semester, according to ESPN. This allows him to remain in school and practice with the Wildcats, but he is not eligible to play in any games until the end of the fall semester on Dec. 18.
Last season, Redding played in all 38 games for the Wildcats as they advanced to the Final Four on his lob pass to Scottie Reynolds against Pitt. Redding averaged 7.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game in the season.
